Know More

Some events need covering on the day. Take The Conn needed building up to it and capturing through it, and that's exactly the kind of full picture work we take pride in delivering.

Building the Hype and Capturing the Day for Take The Conn

Take The Conn CIC, run by Finn Tumba, holds an annual charity football tournament at Sheppey United's Ground alongside smaller tournaments throughout the year, all built around raising donations for good causes rather than any prize money, with the winning team simply walking away with the Take The Con cup and the bragging rights that come with it. AVRS Media was brought in to cover the full day event, a proper group stage followed by a knockout stage building toward the final, and we didn't stop at just turning up on the day. We were part of the buildup itself, creating countdown graphics like "10 days to go" to build genuine hype in the lead up, then delivering full photography coverage once the whistle actually blew.

Problem

A Full Day Tournament With No Room to Miss a Moment

A full day charity football tournament with a group stage and a knockout stage moves fast, with multiple matches, multiple teams, and constant action across the whole day at Sheppey United's Ground. Take The Conn needed coverage that could keep up with all of it while also building anticipation before the event even started, so that donations and turnout weren't left to chance on the day itself.

Solution

From Countdown Graphics to Full Match Day Coverage

We started before the tournament even kicked off, creating countdown graphics to build momentum and keep Take The Conn front of mind in the days leading up to the event. On the day itself, we covered every stage of the tournament from the group games through to the knockout rounds and the final, capturing the competition, the atmosphere, and the moment the winning team lifted the Take The Conn cup. In total we delivered somewhere between 500 and 1,000 photos, giving Take The Conn a genuine content bank to use for the following year's marketing and buildup, not just a record of the day that had already passed.

Concept

Build the Hype, Then Deliver on It

A charity tournament doesn't just need photographing, it needs momentum before a single ball is kicked, because donations and turnout depend on people caring about the event before it happens, not just hearing about it afterwards. That's why we treated the build up as part of the job, not an extra, creating countdown content to build anticipation and then following through with full coverage on the day so the whole story, before, during and after, actually held together.

Take The Conn CIC walked away with between 500 and 1,000 photos from the tournament, used for marketing and build up heading into the following year's event, alongside the countdown graphics that helped build genuine anticipation before the tournament even began.
